The supporters of the #BRINGTHEMHOMENOW campaign walked along a different route during the 10 miles, their race.

Determined to speak on behalf of those without a voice and stand up for them, they came from far and near to express their support for the 133 hostage Israeli civilians still held in Gaza in a peaceful and contextual initiative.

“I have already signed the petition,” said a woman who attended the marathon and showed the back of the flyer with QR code.

“Why don’t you say anything about the other side?” was another response to the message that was put forward.

There is also little or no attention for the hostages in the media; a baby, children, women, men and the elderly. For many, this case appears to have already been forgotten. Yet they chose to draw attention to this with the striking slogan: I WILL NOT KEEP SILENT!

“And what about all the other innocent victims?” was a response. It is precisely the barbaric kidnapping, rape, murder, beheading, mutilation, burning alive and holding of innocent hostages that has given rise to what is happening now. In fact, adding fuel to the fire that continues to fuel the conflict. This was brought to the attention of the marathon visitors as the right of those affected and the path to peace.

Under one banner of bright, self-explanatory T-shirts and flyers, the committed citizens of different ages and backgrounds distributed their petition, supported by the Belgian Coalition for Israel.

The organization emphasizes its deep sympathy for ALL innocent victims and expresses its sincere wish for peace for everyone who truly recognizes and respects each other’s right to exist.
